In the Chiefs' Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, Mahomes achieved his fourth fourth-quarter comeback. The Chiefs trailed 9–17 entering the fourth quarter before winning in overtime 23–20. The comeback was the NFL record sixth time he overcame a 10+ point deficit to win.

In a Week 3 win over the Baltimore Ravens he threw for 385 passing yards, passing for four touchdowns and rushing for one. In the game, he became the fastest quarterback to surpass 10,000 career yards. In Week 8, he threw for 416 yards and five touchdowns in a 35–9 victory against the New York Jets. Mahomes was again named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

In a Week 9 victory over the Carolina Panthers, he threw for 372 passing yards and four touchdowns. In Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 27–24 victory while throwing for 462 yards and three touchdowns. Mahomes was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November. In 2020, Sports Illustrated named him one of their Sportspeople of the Year for his activism following the murder of George Floyd and his encouragement for people to vote in the 2020 presidential election. In Week 14, against the Miami Dolphins, he tied a career high with three interceptions. Mahomes rested for Week 17 after the Chiefs locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Mahomes finished the 2020 season with 4,740 passing yards, 38 touchdowns and six interceptions. In Week 1, Mahomes had three passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, and 337 yards in a 33–29 win over the Browns, earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week. In the Chiefs Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, he threw his first interception in the month of September of his career. It was also his first loss in the month of September in his career.

In a Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes set career highs for rushing yards with 61 and passing attempts with 54. The 20–38 loss was only his second loss by double digits in his career and his first in the regular season. Two weeks later, the Chiefs would lose to the Tennessee Titans 3–27. The 3 points they scored were the fewest points scored since he became the starter. It was his sixth consecutive game with an interception, the longest streak of his career. He also had two fumbles in the second half which gave him the most turnovers he has had in a season only seven games into the season.

In the Chiefs week 9 victory over the Green Bay Packers, Mahomes threw for 166 yards, which was a career low in games he finished. By not throwing an interception for the first time since Week 1, he also ended a career worst streak of six consecutive games throwing an interception. Mahomes bounced back the following week in a 41–14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders, where he threw for 406 yards and five touchdowns, an NFL record-tying third game throwing for at least 400 yards and five touchdowns. Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterbacks Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and Peyton Manning also have three.

In the Chiefs' Week 15 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, he threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns, including the game winning 34-yard touchdown pass in overtime to Travis Kelce. He finished the regular season with 4,839 yards, 37 touchdowns, 13 interceptions , and a 98.5 quarterback rating . The Chiefs also finished the season 12-5, as well as securing their sixth consecutive AFC West title.

In each year under Mahomes, the Chiefs had at least 12 wins and a division title. Playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mahomes threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns despite star receiver Tyreek Hill's injury in the first quarter and Mahomes second quarter ankle sprain. Mahomes dislocated his patella in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos. The following day, an MRI revealed no significant structural damage. He returned two weeks later against the Tennessee Titans, throwing for 446 yards and three touchdowns, losing 35–32. Mahomes ran for a career-high 59 yards, but threw for a career-low with 182 yards in the Chiefs' Week 11 victory over the Chargers. He finished the season with 4,031 yards and 26 touchdowns with only five interceptions. He helped lead the Chiefs to their second consecutive 12–4 record and first round bye, as well as their fourth consecutive division title.

He was selected to the 2020 Pro Bowl, though he did not play due to his participation in Super Bowl LIV. Following an 89-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Demarcus Robinson in a Week 17 game against the Oakland Raiders, Mahomes became the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns. Additionally, he became one of seven players in NFL history with 5,000 passing yards in a season. He finished second in passing yards to Ben Roethlisberger.

He became the first Chief since Len Dawson in 1966 to lead the league in passing touchdowns. He helped lead the Chiefs to a 12–4 record and their third straight division title. Mahomes spent his rookie season as the backup to Alex Smith. He was named the starter in 2018 after the Chiefs traded Smith to the Washington Redskins.

He became the only quarterback in history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a single season in both college and in the NFL. Mahomes is one of four African-American quarterbacks to win the AP MVP award. When the Rams played the Cardinals on the first weekend of the playoffs and Murray had a disastrous game, Stafford didn't make a bad throw.

Sunday, while his teammates melted down, Stafford played a game of ruthless efficiency. When the Bucs tied the game in the fourth quarter, Stafford calmly threw back-to-back completions to Cooper Kupp to set up the game-winning field goal. In this postseason, he has completed 41 of 55 passes for 568 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. The Chiefs hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round, the first time he participated at that stage of the playoffs. In the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns, plus rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown during the 42–36 overtime win. In the final seconds of regulation, Andy Reid gave Mahomes a motivational talk and told him to be "The Grim Reaper". After the two-minute warning and in overtime alone he threw for 177 yards. The game was immediately regarded as one of the greatest playoff games of all time. In the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Mahomes threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions, including one to Vonn Bell in overtime in the 27–24 overtime loss.

In Week 4, against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, he passed for 304 passing yards and a touchdown to match a rushing touchdown in the 27–23 comeback victory. In Week 6, against the New England Patriots, he passed for 352 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions in a 43–40 loss on Sunday Night Football. In the following game, Mahomes and the Chiefs bounced back with a 45–10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the victory, he passed for 358 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. In the next game, a 30–23 win over the Denver Broncos, Mahomes recorded a third consecutive game with four passing touchdowns on 303 passing yards and one interception. During Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11, Mahomes finished with 478 passing yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions as the Chiefs lost 54–51. His 478 passing yards were the most for a single game by any quarterback for the 2018 season.

On October 22, 2016, Mahomes set multiple NCAA, Big 12, and school records in a 66–59 loss to Oklahoma at home. Mahomes broke the NCAA FBS records for single-game total offense with 819 yards. He tied the NCAA record for single game passing yards with 734. Overall, the game set NCAA records for most combined yards of total offense with 1,708 combined passing yards, and total offense by two players . The 125 combined points are the second most all time involving ranked teams. Mahomes was born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, to Pat Mahomes, then an MLB pitcher, and Randi Mahomes.

Mahomes believes that training pitching and playing basketball improved his quarterback skills. In football, he had 4,619 passing yards, 50 passing touchdowns, 948 rushing yards, and 15 rushing touchdowns as a senior. In baseball, he threw a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts in a game his senior year.

You can just spend all day walking around shopping or taking in the gorgeous views of the pond and mountains like shown in the photos below. From apple picking, fishing for trout, pony rides for kids, hayride tour, school field trips, wine tasting, to a pumpkin patch, or you can shop at the largest craft show of Apple Hill! This farm is an excellent choice for the entire family to visit and just have fun.

Aside from food and shopping, High Hill Ranch has a variety of other activities that are family friendly. They offer apple picking, pony rides, and tractor hay rides. One activity this location has to offer that others cannot is trout fishing right there on site.

Aside from this, adults can participate in apple wine tasting in addition to a guided tour of the ranch. Visitors may want to spend the whole time visiting and exploring all that High Hill Ranch has to offer. Fall is the time of year to celebrate the incredible and magical transformations that nature undergoes. Many individuals have their own traditions on how to enjoy this beautiful season, but most often they involve colorful leaves and harvested produce.

In my experience , an annual trip to these farmlands is a must. Willow Pond Organic Farm is a 38-acre organic vegetable farm and apple orchard. We are located in the Apple Hill area just two miles from downtown Placerville in a beautiful rural setting. Our Market Stand is situated on the edge of the vegetable fields adjacent to our large wildlife pond. We have picnic tables by the pond and welcome visitors to stoll around our fields and orchards. We grow more than 40 kinds of vegetables, eight varieties of apples, figs, cut flowers, herbs, honey and in the fall we offer U-pick apples and a huge pumpkin patch.

Other local farmers contribute fresh eggs, peaches, necterines, plums, blueberries, grapes, nuts, raisions, and pasteries made from our organic fruits. Everything we offer is locally grown, picked fresh and at the peak of ripeness. East of Placerville on Highway 50, the rolling hills are sprinkled with farms and fruit orchards. The air is rich with smells of fresh baked apple pies, and turnovers, lemon bars, cider or doughnuts! In the fall, kids can sample the local apples or pick their own pumpkin for Halloween. Summertime, there are berry picking patches, delicious blueberries, blackberries and raspberries.

This seven-generation family-owned farm is more than just a Christmas tree farm. It also produces berries, apples, pumpkins and vegetables. Situated the farthest east of any of Apple Hill's farms, Harris Tree Farm is definitely worth the extra drive. In the barn you'll find for sale homemade pies, donuts, preserves, apple cider, blackberry salsa and even enchiladas.

Just across the street from the farm you'll find a beautiful and secluded nature trail that is perfect for those looking for a leisurely walk. The serene trail follows the banks of the El Dorado Irrigation District Main Canal, which is more like a little stream tucked under the pines than a canal. The Apple Hill Growers has grown from 16 original ranchers in 1964 to over 55 ranchers today sharing the fruits of their labor with thousands of visitors every year.

A family trip to visit Apple Hill™ means so much more than just apples, pumpkins, pastries, and pies. It's old-fashioned fun and memories that will last a lifetime! It's berry farms, u-pick apple ranches, and kid-friendly activities. For the grown-ups, it's fine wines and handcrafted beers in an incredible Sierra-soaked setting. It's Christmas trees for as far as your group can wander.

Boa Vista offers a variety of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery has delicious apple cider doughnuts, turnovers, and pies. If you are looking for lunch, they have a grill offering burgers and hot dogs. The pumpkin patch is a fun excursion for the kids and a prime photo op.

For wine enthusiasts, they offer wine tasting as well. Apple Ridge Farm has been a favorite for season after season. With expansive grounds and a variety of activities, this farm can be a one-stop shop for everything that makes Apple Hill a fall attraction. With kid-friendly hiking trails looping around plentiful apple trees, visitors are able to picture themselves as the proprietors of this grand estate.

A bakery, BBQ house, and country store are ready to provide hungry families a wide array of lunch choices. Kids can choose from a pumpkin patch, corn maze, mining activity, fall photo-op stations, and more. East of Placerville, the rolling hills are sprinkled with farms and fruit orchards. Choose your Christmas tree at the tree farms in December. Summertime, there are berry picking patches, delicious blackberries and raspberries. Boa Vista is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and has been greeting visitors with a wide range of farm goods and experiences since 1915.

Apple Hill Pumpkin Patch California We visit Boa Vista all year long and do much of our regular grocery shopping there. The farmstand offers local produce from neighboring farms along with apples from their own ranch. Off-season apple prices are the lowest we have found, so we buy boxes of apples throughout the spring and summer and the apples are some of our favorites.

The farm has a pumpkin patch in fall, and cut-your-own Christmas trees during winter. Delfino Farms has been devoted to creating fresh products from fruit grown on their farm for over 50 years. They welcome families and offer tons of activities for kids including two corn mazes, u-pick pumpkins, a nature trail, farm animals, and a beautiful family-friendly picnic area. Here you can enjoy a large variety of apple desserts and fruit pies.

Most of the growers have take and bake items ff you want to enjoy the Apple Hill experience at home. For the kids, they boast a maze, horse, and pony rides that kids will enjoy. If that's not enough, enjoy a barbeque lunch, craft booths, bakery, and caramel apples.

Looking for the perfect autumn excursion to go with the family? Then Apple Hill in Placerville, California, is the place to go! Located east of Sacramento, this is a must-do trip, especially if you want to have family fun!

The Apple Hill area has over 55 growers, including Christmas tree farms, breweries, and wineries. Located in the foothills, you can experience the peaceful countryside, autumn colors, and incredible apple cider doughnuts (famous here!). Something to keep in mind if your are in the area after apple picking season is over… pumpkin season starts!

Most of these orchards transition over to becoming a pumpkin patch for the month of October so Apple Hill is great day tip to do this fall season. Kids Inc. also has a gorgeous Nature Trail, leading guests on a winding path through the orchard and down to a creek. Autumn marks the beginning of the bustling holiday season. Before the hectic end of the year is upon us, take the time to slow down and enjoy the changing seasons during a visit to Apple Hill.

Apple Ridge Farms is a favorite in our destination guide list and is one of the many kid-friendly farms on Apple Hill. Apple Ridge Farms welcomes families to their ranch, which features farm animals, a hay maze, a tranquil pond, and a nature trail this fall season. They also have an apple barn, a bakeshop, a candy kitchen, and a gift shop, too! Open daily year round, Boa Vista Orchards offers fresh seasonal fruit, with the summer and fall seasons featuring apples, Asian pears, berries, peaches, pears, cherries, and plums.

If you're not local, they also have an online store that sells their non-perishable items. Here you'll find rolling hills showcasing beautiful vineyards, orchards and pines and plenty of food and drink offerings. Stop by Joan's Apple Bakery for a piece of pie, Henrietta Stich Hard Cider or Edio Vineyards Wine for a drink. Families with kids will particularly enjoy the pumpkin patch, corn maze and nature trail surrounding the property.

If things to do aren't enough to get you to Apple Hill, then the tasty baked goods, apple cider, and barbeque should! If you prefer to try something other than theirfamous apple cider doughnuts,fear not. The bakeries have assortments of pies, fritters, and turnovers to feed your craving for fall goodies. They have take and bake pies if you want to enjoy delicious treats at home. Candy apples, a fall favorite, are the perfect treat and check out the delectable versions to chose from. If a picnic lunch appeals more to you, enjoy a lunch of barbeque in the great outdoors at one of the many farms with dining options and outdoor seating.

Our last Apple Hill site we recommend is Rainbow Orchards. If you're going to grab an apple cider donut anywhere in Apple Hill, I have to say this is the place. They are made to order and come out piping and and absolutely delicious! Other sweets besides apple pie that are available here are their apple cream cheese tarts, triple crown blackberry pie, peach cobbler, pumpkin pie, and berry cobblers.

Rainbow Orchards also makes corn dogs from scratch and has weekend Tri-Tip Barbeques from September 28-October 27. Don't forget to try their hard cider brewed on site as well as their fresh-picked fruit of peaches and apples while you're visiting. The orchard I visited last year and I highly recommend is Denver Dan's. You could literally spend hours here being that apple acres are huge! One of the staff members took the time to explains what kind of apples were in season and where they were located in the orchard.

Onsite you can smell and see them make fresh apple pies, sauces and baked goods. Pick as much as you want and pay for what you want as well. By choosing to U-Pick you are helping the orchards collect their inventory. By buying their produce, you are helping a business continue to stay open. Fall time in Apple Hill is one of the most magical times of year. Beautiful fall colors, hard cider, apple picking, and so much more await you in this picturesque mountain town.

If you're looking for something savory, try their tri-tip BBQ or corndogs while tapping your toes to some live bluegrass music. The farms host unique activities each fall to with fun things to do with kids. Kids will have fun at the farms that offeru pickapples and blueberries.

With fall in the air, experience ahayrideto apumpkin patchand choose your own pumpkin. Kids will love scouting for the perfect pumpkin to carve! Other kids activities such asface paintingandarts and craftbooths are available at some locations. After this, we ventured to the rest of the area and saw that it did have considerably less attractions than it does every year we've gone. I did, however, notice the Apple wine their shop now has! I discovered that Mill View Ranch is under new ownership, so that explains their new set up.

Usually, there's a very busy Bake Shop full of apple turnovers, pies, candy apples, and donuts. They also had their pumpkin patch out and ready for visitors to pick from. In the past, this ranch has several backgrounds set up for fall portraits, but it looks like we were early in our visit this year. We may end up going back in the next month to pick up some more Apple wine.
